tomorrow a new point of view…

i am ashamed to think of ALL the toilet paper  i have wasted over the last 2 years. it was necessary to help guard my backside from all the nastiness in what we call the “public restroom”.

back in california…we have toilet seat covers! i would say 98.5% of the restrooms have covers. including my new work. whoo-hoo!

i know you all will sleep safely knowing i am safe and clean.

oh man. it’s great that the description for tomorrow says…”very hot.”

i am hoping this creative mind will help me with my sorry looking blog.

  we spent most of yesterday trying to make sense of the madness. i have to say we really did get somethings accomplished. the office and living room are looking good…however we do have a million baskets without a home. big ones…little ones…round ones…square ones. what to do.

we went to the fair last night with the waltons. what BIG FUN we had. we really got to know each other last as i shared a family secret about jasen. all good fun.

we are back in full swing this week with work. i forget HOW TIRED i am at the end of each day. now i need to get as much done on the weekends! we finally went to trader joe’s (for real) to do some shopping. i finally remembered to bring my own bags to the store and they entered us into a drawing for free groceries! bonus! since we still are in our “pre diet” stages we decided to pick up some chocolate frozen bananas. y-u-m-m-y.

we are almost in business. we have some groceries…and a semi unpacked apartment. come visit!

jasen and i watch e’s the soup every friday. a while ago they showed this clip and each week they keep referring back to it.

i can tell school is getting close…i have marker stains on my hands and fingers and glue on my arms and clothes. fun times.

this is the first time i am posting from word press. it’s not too difficult so far. i guess it may get crazy when i try and do the fancy stuff.

today the teacher i work with received a call from her father saying her mom was in the icu. it’s really hard watching someone hear news like that. it’s never happen to me before…please be thinking of my new friend sue as she makes a serious decision whether to fly to illinois this weekend to see her. (school starts “officially” tuesday)

if something serious happens (god forbid) with sue’s family…this school year may turn out a little differently then expected. let’s all hope for the best.

so i love being a teacher. well most of the time. i LOVE having a 2.5 month sabbatical every summer. you know what i don’t love so much? going back to work. i guess life was a little abnormally busy this summer with moving across the country and all…but still.

i DO have to say… so far my school and all its staff are fabulous. i am excited to get in the swing of things.

i am able to be at work at 9 this week but waking up with an alarm has not made it enjoyable. who knows what next week will hold when i have to be at work even earlier.

going to work all day, trying to “work out”, and unpack has made me feel really tired this week. once our place becomes a little more organized i will feel like i can rest at home. soon enough.

samantha i will call you soon. thanks for your sweet message. allie…jasen has mislead you…i don’t know his true intentions about putting a video up for you. keep asking him.

last week i saw this psa and it got me thinking…

then today we had a full faculty meeting with a FBI agent talking to us about the dangers of minors and the world wide web. he showed us how easily he could locate the kids from our high school on myspace. in a few easy steps he had located over 50 kids with all their personal information.

really creepy stuff. he was telling us how employers and colleges now search myspace and such to find out more about their applicants.

crazy.

jasen and i were just discussing how we haven’t had the chance to walk around town and really enjoy why we moved downtown. tonight was the night. after a long day of first aid and cpr lectures…jasen picked me up and we headed home to park the car.

we headed to paesanos for a super dinner. on our walk home we stopped in at the beat. thanks to the walton’s recommendation…e picked up the new eisley cd along with “once” soundtrack on vinyl.
