sad…it even marked alaska…and i’ve never been there! it stated that i have visited 0% of the world. will someone please take me somewhere?

yesterday i picked up the kids from music and on our way to recess a girl stops me and says,

“mrs. ashdown, i learned 2 things about elvis today in music.”

“you did? what did you learn?”

“i learned that elvis loved rock and roll music and babies.”

“babies?”

“yeah, you know…hot chicks.”

“you mean babes?”

“yeah…that’s what i ment.”

right.

so sunday, september 23rd marked the FIRST day of fall. (well at least according to the google search i did.) what great news!

well doesn’t this sound like a good title?

well i have been posting for about 40 minutes of all the wonderful things about my weekend. then i went to load a picture…and my whole post (except the title) erased.

i am so angry. maybe i will retype it all. SOMETIME. but now…i am in a VERY bad mood.

jasen and i set our alarms this morning at 5 AM for a jog around the capitol. now i don’t know how many people are able to see the capitol building in the dark with the lights shinning on it…but well it is pretty.  but running around the park that early with people walking all around is a little scary. but i am glad i had jasen there to protect me. it felt good to have the cold morning air in my lungs. but now it is 10:30 and i am pooped.

so i leave you with a funny joke a first grade friend told me today: (man i love first grade humor)

a duck walks into a bar and asks, “do you have any peanuts?”

the owner shakes his head and says, “no.”

the duck thanks the owner and leaves. he returns the next day and asks, “do you have any peanuts?”

the owner remembering the duck from yesterday shakes his head and hastily says, “no!”

it’s the little things that make life good.

so we have been running around trying to get unpacked. i know. 1 month and we are still unpacking. i can hardly believe it either.

and it drives me crazy.

i think i am just realizing how difficult it is to downsize from a 3 bedroom (with garage) house to a 1.5 bedroom (with no garage) apartment. but we are managing.

you want to hear how lame i am? i feel guilty having anyone over until its perfect. will it ever get that way? i know it really doesn’t matter…but still.

i am hoping our place doesn’t look too cramped.

well my eyes are tired and i’m sad we have not seen/talked too our friends the waltons. oh! did you her the awesome thing they did for us? you should ask them. they are good people.

so i just set up my igoogle account which was F.UN…but you can also add a feature called: “deep thoughts from Jack Handey.”

so here was today’s thought:
