is it a time for change?

first…in case you were wondering…i am on track for 500 miles. 10 miles or so down.

however tonight i went to go get a few miles on the treadmill and after 2 attempts here i am at home at 9:08 PM waiting for the stupid workout center to clear out. i’ve lived here 3 months and now everyone is slamming the place. so i may be out of luck tonight. but i will go and give it one more try. i hope it stops raining soon. outside running is so much better.

so saturday is the day to color my old mop. i was thinking about maybe moving a little fashion forward and maybe getting it cut. you know stylish. i’ve let it grow out for so long…and i am really attached. more than literally.

here is a pic i found…we’ll see.

i am going to jog 500 miles this year. that’s about 1.4ish miles a day. i thought about 366, one for each day…but i should challenge myself.

i better get started. oops.wish me luck.

i don’t really follow her shows but i did think this was interesting:

She’s already the queen of daytime, and now Oprah Winfrey’s extending her reign into the evening as well.

New details were revealed on Thursday about O’s upcoming reality show, which has not been affected by the Hollywood writers’ strike.

Oprah’s Big Give will premiere on Sunday, March 2nd, and is hosted by Oprah’s main guy, Nate Berkus.

Winfrey will make appearances on the show, as will some of her A-list friends.

The premise of the show? Ten people will compete to see who can mount the most creative and effective efforts to help people in need. Each challenge will take place in a different city.

The winner will receive an undisclosed “major prize” for his or her efforts.

Joining the show as judges are British chef-author-philanthropist Jamie Oliver, NFL star Tony Gonzalez and Malaak Compton-Rock — the wife of comedian Chris Rock and founder of the the charity styleWORKS. They will decide who goes home each week.

Oprah and the people behind the Amazing Race will executive produce the show.

it may be a cool thing!

get it while you can!

leap year

January 1, 2008 at 5:45 pm | In uncategorized | 3 Comments

did you know 2008 is a leap year? i am happy to find out that i have one extra day before turning 30. that’s right 30. this is a big year.

we had a good time at home last night. tim, matt, allie, zach, dad, jasen and i stayed home with sparkling cider and rang in the new year with ryan seacrest. outside our windows we heard fireworks going off in old sac. good times.

it’s crazy to think that a year ago jasen and i had just bought our first home in houston…and here we are…wow.

my hope and prayer this year is my family and some friends find healing and peace. no looking back to the old, but to to the future which lies ahead.

here’s to a new year…
new beginnings…
peace and wholeness to all…
a new president…
and turing 30

cheers!
